Two Diamonds
Four adjoining 18th-century houses on Al Boulad Street in Bab Touma, opposite the Chaldean church, were restored and joined in 2007 to make Beit Al Wali, the largest of the Old City's courtyard hotels: 48 rooms and suites from deluxe rooms to a royal suite, around courtyards with marble fountains and carved wooden ceilings, with a restaurant and a swimming pool in an adjoining clubhouse.
